March and April are National Spruce Up Your Professional Head Shot Months!

Well, not really, but it is a great time to refresh those professional portraits.

Now that the Winter is slowing departing, it is a perfect time for a new business head shot and portrait.

Why not get a jump on the new year with an up to date professional head shot. I know, I know, you have been putting it off forever. Unfortunately that photo from 1995 is really not doing you any favors.

In today’s business world a professional image is a must. Especially with all of the social media such as Linked In, Alignable, Facebook business pages, and the list goes on and on.

It does not matter if you are a mom and pop shop or the CEO of a major corporation, a professional representation is essential. Now more than ever, people want to see who they are doing business with. All they need to do is get on the internet, Google your business and make a decision within seconds if you are right for them.

By having a selfie, out of focus, grainy, or poorly lit image, the potential client sees an amateur. You are are the face of the business, and should be portrayed as such.

Why do you think lawyers, doctors, bankers, real estate brokers, insurance agents, etc., all use professional photographers to instill trust and confidence in their clients. The reason is, because it works.

How many times have you looked at ads, in magazines, newspapers, and on TV. Some stand out and cause a buying emotion while others don’t. There is a reason for that. The media does not care if the ad is horrible, they are just selling space.

Who should care about the ad and how they are portrayed? The business owner. So many times, especially in the area of real estate which just comes to mind, you can tell immediately the images of property and personnel that were professionally done ,from the ones that were not. Guess which ones bill more and are more successful.

Professional head shot photography is more accessible and affordable, than ever before.

A number of photography firms such as ours, offer mobile studios, and are able to set up backdrops and lighting within minutes. This is great for photographing entire office staff without taking too much time away from work. An office of 20 to 30 people can be easily photographed over the lunch hour.

So do yourself a favor and start the new year off right with a new up to date professional headshot.
