Christmas in Manhattan. Bayline Studios.

There is simply nothing like Christmas time in Manhattan.

As a child growing up in Connecticut, I spent a lot of time in New York City. My family and I would go into the city every year for the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Show.

We would skate a Rockefeller Center, go to Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, then Radio City. Times square was a bit different then, but still as amazing as ever. I remember we would go see where the ball was going to drop for New Years. It was a magical place.

Now we get to photograph couples, weddings, events, all over this incredible city. We finally got a chance to go to the freedom tower observation level. It is a little pricey at $37 per person, and does take some time to get past security, but it is well worth it! The view is incredible.

Another area that has taken me 36 years to get back to was 1 72nd Street at Central Park West. For those of you who do not know the address, it is the address of the Dakota Apartments, former residence of John Lennon. I was, am, and always will be a huge Beatles fan, and remember exactly where I was when I heard the news. Until now, I just could never go there. This visit I was determined. Went to the Dakota, and Strawberry Fields, and remembered John in my own personal way. Well enough of that, this is to be a happy post.

We at Bayline Studios wish everyone a fantastic Holiday Season and an Amazing 2017!
